EVERYONE LIVES

A creative life.

visual Journaling a daily practise

I was introduced to a drawing a day by a close friend to help me through some of my own creative blocks. It quickly became a visual snapshot of my life, sharing the good, the bad and the uncomfortable. It allowed me to create freely and express my emotions that at times, my words could not. These moments became my own illustrated album and I reflect on them often capturing my life in colourful scribbles, paintings, cartoons and sketches.

I found my own healing in this new art form when capturing little aspects of my day. I let go of my expectation that each drawing had to be polished or finished and found there is no right or wrong way with journaling. Every creation is a reflection, not an expectation.

From my journey I found there is a need for adults to tap into their creativity and their curiosity and I’ve opened my studio space to run short courses sharing my process and teachings.

These three hour workshops are set up to explore, experiment and access your own inner voice by using different mediums and learning different styles and techniques. The classes are suited to all skill levels and this particular course I made for you, the adult.

NEW WORKSHOPS

“I thoroughly enjoyed the visual journalling course. Having no previous art experience, Serena provided lots of support, guidance and created a safe environment to give things a go and learning to accept imperfection. I was able to connect with an artistic and creative part of myself that I didn’t know existed! Classes were engaging, fun and stimulating. I have learnt a practice that I will take forward with me for life, as an important way to practice mindfulness, self-care, gratitude and self-discovery. Thank you Serena!”
